Invite friends and earn credits

4 min readLast checked:

In short

Share your personal invite link from Settings, under Plan. When a friend creates a Slaide account through it, you earn credits at three milestones: 25 when they confirm their email, 50 when they build their first document and 250 when they subscribe. Your friend gets 25 credits too. Credits from invitations never expire.

How does inviting friends work?

You share your personal invite link. A friend who creates an account through it gets a head start, and you earn credits at three milestones. Your friend receives 25 credits after confirming their email.

MilestoneYou earnLimit
A friend confirms their email+25First 5 friends
A friend builds their first document+50First 20 friends, up to 3 per 24 hours
A friend subscribes to a paid plan+250First 20 friends

When do the credits arrive?

Automatically, each time a friend reaches a milestone. Slaide books the credits to your account, sends you an email, and shows a note in your library the next time you open it, for example “+50 credits: Alex built their first document”.

The credits appear in Credit history under Settings, Plan, as Referral bonus and Referral upgrade bonus. Your friend's bonus appears as Invite welcome bonus. The bonus for a confirmed signup can show as Adjustment.

Why did I not get credits for a friend?

  • Email not confirmed: nothing is booked before your friend confirms their email address.
  • No first document yet: the milestone counts once your friend's first document has pages.
  • Another browser or too late: the invitation is recorded only if your friend creates the account in the browser where they opened your link, within 30 days.
  • Limits reached: every milestone has a limit, shown in the table above, and the first-document bonus is also limited per 24 hours.
  • Already invited: an account is credited to one invitation only, and an ambassador link takes precedence over an invitation from a user.

If none of this fits, write to info@slaide.de. For other ways to get credits, see Not enough credits.

What is the Ambassador program?

A separate program for selected partners: business owners in Germany whom Slaide invites. Ambassadors earn a commission on qualified payments instead of credits. The terms are in German: Ambassador-Bedingungen.

A friend who arrives through an ambassador link gets 50 credits instead of 25. An account is credited either to an ambassador or to a user's invitation, never to both.

Frequently asked questions

How do I invite friends to Slaide?

Open Settings, go to Plan and copy your link from the Earn credits card, or send invitations by email under Workspace in the Bring people in card, up to 5 addresses at a time. Your friend creates an account through the link.

How many credits can I earn?

25 credits when a friend confirms their email (for your first 5 friends), 50 when they build their first document (first 20 friends, up to 3 per 24 hours) and 250 when they subscribe (first 20 friends).

What does my friend get?

25 credits once they confirm their email, on top of the free plan. A friend who arrives through an ambassador link gets 50 credits instead.

Do credits from invitations expire?

No. Credits from invitations and welcome bonuses never expire. Slaide uses them after your plan credits, so a monthly reset does not touch them.

Can I invite myself or use a second account?

No. Slaide blocks invitations to your own email address, and under the terms each person may in principle have only one account. An account is credited to one invitation only.

Where do I see how many friends joined?

Settings, Plan, Earn credits shows two counters: friends who built their first document and friends who subscribed. A note in your library names the friend by first name when a bonus arrives.

What is the Ambassador program?

A separate program for selected business partners in Germany, by invitation. Ambassadors earn a commission on qualified payments instead of credits. The terms are in German at slaide.de/ambassador-bedingungen.
