Which document types Slaide can create
In short
Slaide creates presentations and pitch decks, reports, proposals, one-pagers and résumés, posters, invitations and social posts, and Excel models with working formulas. The kind of document sets the page format, and the page format sets the Office file: PowerPoint for slides and custom sizes, Word for A4 pages, Excel for workbooks. PDF, PNG and JPG work for every document with pages.
Which kinds of documents can Slaide create?
You do not pick a type from a menu. You describe the document, Slaide chooses the page format that fits, and the plan shows it so you can switch before anything is built.

What is special about presentations and pitch decks?
Presentations use slide formats, 16:9 by default, and export as PowerPoint with editable text, shapes and pictures. For what stays editable, see PowerPoint export.
- Speaker notes have a field under each slide and arrive in PowerPoint as the real notes pane: see Present and speaker notes.
- Animate adds motion to a finished deck of two or more slides, on a computer: see Animations and transitions.
- Charts become editable shapes or an image in PowerPoint, not chart objects; see Create charts and tables from your data.
What about reports, proposals and other page documents?
Documents on A4 pages export as Word with real headings, paragraphs, lists and tables, so you can keep working in Word. Charts and complex graphics sit in the Word file as images.
Can Slaide make posters, invitations or social posts?
Yes, as pages in a custom size, for example a square post or a poster. Name the size in your request or set it under Custom size in the plan.
These documents export as PNG, JPG and PDF, and as a PowerPoint file with the same page size. Video and print production are not what Slaide is built for.
Does Slaide build Excel models?
Yes. For a budget, a financial plan or a calculation, Slaide builds an Excel workbook with working formulas and formatting, and you download it as .xlsx. See Spreadsheets and Excel models.
- A request that is only a calculation gives a workbook without pages.
- A report or deck that uses a calculation gets normal pages plus the workbook.
- Workbooks contain formulas and formatting, not pivot tables, macros or charts.
Can I start from a file I already have?
Yes. Attach a PDF, Word, Excel or PowerPoint file as source material, or import a presentation or PDF to edit its pages in Slaide. See Import a presentation and Files and exports.
Frequently asked questions
Can Slaide create a Word document?
Yes. Documents on A4 pages, such as reports, proposals and résumés, export as an editable Word file (.docx) with real headings, lists and tables. Ask for a report or a document in your request, and check that the plan shows A4.
Can I make a presentation in A4 or a report in 16:9?
Yes. The page format decides the Office file, not the content. Choose the format in the plan: a document in 16:9 exports as PowerPoint, a document in A4 as Word.
Can Slaide create a CV or a poster?
Yes. A résumé is an A4 page document that exports as Word. A poster is a page in a custom size that exports as PNG, JPG, PDF or a PowerPoint file with that page size.
Does Slaide create videos?
No. Slaide creates documents: slides, pages and workbooks. Video and print production are not what it is built for.
Which file types can I download?
PowerPoint (.pptx) for slide formats and custom sizes, Word (.docx) for A4 pages and Excel (.xlsx) for workbooks. Every document with pages also exports as PDF, PNG or JPG. See Files and exports.
