> Open Slaide in your phone's browser and sign in with the same account. The mobile editor shows a small live preview of the document above the chat; tap it, or its full-screen button, to open the pages full screen. You can request changes and export files. For detailed positioning and layout work, use the desktop editor.

## How do I start on a phone?

1. **Open Slaide in your browser**. Open [your library](https://app.slaide.de/library) and sign in. Use the same sign-in method as on your computer so you reach the same account and documents.
2. **Choose or create a document**. Open a library card to continue an existing document. To create one, describe the document in the start box and attach source files if needed.
3. **Send a clear request**. Name the document type, audience and facts to use. On a phone, the build starts directly rather than using the desktop page-plan flow. See [Your first document](https://help.slaide.de/create-your-first-document) for the overall workflow.

Slaide chooses the mobile layout by window width: it applies on screens narrower than 768 px. A wider window, for example a tablet held sideways, shows the desktop editor. The mobile layout stacks a small live preview of the document above the chat. Your prompt and the current work appear in the chat, and a tap on the preview opens the pages full screen. This avoids trying to fit the full desktop canvas and side panels into a narrow screen.

## How do I read pages and return to the chat?

Tap the document preview or its full-screen button to open the document. Browse the pages and check text, figures and images before sharing or exporting. Opening the preview does not start another AI request.

- Scroll through the pages and pinch to zoom. Pages that finish later in the build are added to the document as they arrive.
- Choose **Chat** in the full-screen header to return to the conversation.
- The browser's back action also closes the mobile document overlay before leaving the editor.

If the keyboard covers the conversation, close the keyboard before inspecting the result. Reading a long document is easier when you review one page at a time and send a correction with an explicit page number.

## What editing works on a phone?

Use the chat for changes to wording, structure or design. Mobile direct editing uses a reduced set of actions for text, images and targeted AI changes; it does not expose the complete desktop inspector and drag workflow.

**Example request:**

> Page 3: shorten the paragraph to three sentences, keep the figures unchanged and make the main conclusion easier to read on a phone.

Move to a computer when you need precise alignment, repeated object positioning or a detailed inspection of a dense slide. You can reopen the same document there. See [Edit text and design](https://help.slaide.de/edit-text-and-design) for the desktop workflow.

## Can I export and continue on another device?

Use **Export** to download a supported document format. The format depends on the document, as described in [Files and exports](https://help.slaide.de/files-and-exports). Your browser and phone decide where downloads are stored and which app opens them.

To continue on a computer, open Slaide with the same account and select the document from the library. Check the current pages before sending another request. A lost browser connection does not by itself stop a server-side build; use the explicit **Stop** action when you mean to stop.

> **Note:** If the build appears interrupted, reopen the document and inspect its latest status before retrying. See [Build stopped or failed](https://help.slaide.de/build-stopped-or-failed). Do not repeatedly submit the same request while work is still running.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need a separate mobile account?

No. Open Slaide in a browser and sign in with your existing account and sign-in method. Your documents are available from the same library.

### Why is the mobile editor different?

It stacks a small document preview above the chat and opens the pages in a full-screen overlay. Direct editing is reduced for touch input. The complete inspector and detailed object positioning remain a desktop workflow.

### Does closing the browser stop the build?

A lost browser connection alone does not stop a server-side build. Reopen the document to check its status. Use the explicit Stop button if you want to cancel the running request.

### Does Slaide work on a tablet?

Yes, in the browser. Slaide chooses its layout by window width: below 768 px you get the mobile layout, and a wider window gets the desktop editor. Which of the two a tablet shows therefore depends on its screen and on how you hold it.
